Commuter Schedule

Two Saturdays a Month. That's It.

We designed our rehearsal calendar around commuting families. The required in-person commitment is just two Saturdays per month — the 1st and 3rd. Everything else is flexible.

Thursday Evenings

6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Optional for commuting families. Great if you're already in the area, but not required.

Required In-Person

1st & 3rd Saturday

11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Your core rehearsal day. All commuter families are expected at these Saturday sessions in Baltimore.

2nd & 4th Saturday

Flexible — your schedule

Recorded lessons are uploaded for you to review and practice at home. No drive required on these weekends.

Bottom line for commuter families: Drive to Baltimore twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Saturday. Review virtual lessons at home on the 2nd and 4th Saturday. Thursday evenings are optional if you're already in the area.

Virtual Learning

Practice at Home Between Rehearsals

On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, our coaching staff uploads recorded lessons directly to your member portal. Your child can review technique, learn new material, and practice at home — no drive required.

This virtual component means commuter families stay in sync with the ensemble between in-person rehearsals, so your child never falls behind.

Why Families Drive

What Makes TME Worth the Distance

National Competition

TME competes at WGI and DCI SoundSport — the same national circuit as the world's elite drum corps. No local program in VA, PA, or NJ offers this level.

HBCU Tradition

The Elite Fire Dance Team specializes in HBCU majorette, jazz, and ballet — a culturally specific tradition virtually absent from VA, PA, DE, and NJ youth programs.

Multi-Discipline Pipeline

Four ensembles under one roof: drumline, dance, color guard, and brass. Your child can grow from age 6 to adult within the same organization.

Subsidized Access

Backed by the Baltimore Children & Youth Fund, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Baltimore City ARPA. Private studios in VA/PA charge $1,500–$3,000+ per season.

20 Years of Excellence

Founded in 2006, TME has 20 years of institutional knowledge, established coaching staff, and program infrastructure that newer regional alternatives can't match.

Central Baltimore Location

Located at 1 N. Fulton Ave, Baltimore — easily accessible from I-95, I-695, and I-83, making the drive straightforward from VA, PA, DE, and NJ.
