Volunteer With Us

TME runs on the dedication of community volunteers. Whether you can give a few hours on weekends or commit to a full season, there is a meaningful role for you. All adult volunteers working directly with youth must pass a background check.

Meal Coordinator

Plan and prepare meals for rehearsals, travel days, and competitions. A vital support role that keeps our performers energized.

Seasonal / Event-based

Transportation (CDL)

Drive our youth to and from events across Maryland and beyond. CDL license required. Mileage reimbursement available.

Event-based

Medical Team

Provide first-aid and health support at rehearsals and competitions. Nurses, EMTs, and certified first-aiders welcome.

Rehearsals & Events

Videographer / Photographer

Capture performances, rehearsals, and community events. Help us document TME's story and grow our media presence.

Flexible

Instrumental Music Teacher

Lead sectionals or provide supplemental instruction in brass, woodwinds, or percussion. Music education background preferred.

Weekly / Seasonal

General Volunteer

Uniform team, equipment logistics, event setup, front-of-house, and more. No special skills required — just enthusiasm and reliability.

Flexible

Background Check Required

All adults working directly with youth participants must consent to and pass a background check before beginning volunteer work. This is a non-negotiable requirement to ensure the safety of every child in our programs.

WHO IS REGISTERING?

YOUTH PARTICIPANT OR ADULT JOINING OUR TEAM

Youth Participant — Ages 8 to 17YOUTH

Drumline, Dance Team, Color Guard, and Elite All-Stars. Parent/guardian must complete this form.

Adult Performer — Ages 18 and UpADULT

Adult performers are welcome in Drumline, Dance Team, Color Guard, Horn Line, and Elite All-Stars. No audition required for most sections — all skill levels welcome.

Volunteer / Staff PositionADULT

Cooks, Uniform Team, Transportation (CDL required), Medical Team, Videographer, Instrumental Music Teacher, or General Volunteer.

New members: During your first month you are welcome to try different sections before committing. We accept new students 3 times per year during our registration periods. A one-time $60 registration fee covers your TME T-shirt and hat.

Snare, tenor, bass drum, and cymbals. No experience needed — beginners welcome. Compete locally and beyond.

All participants, parents, guardians, and volunteers are expected to uphold the following standards at all times — during rehearsals, performances, travel, and in representing TME in the community.
