Videographer Intern / Volunteer
The Marching Elite is looking for an experienced videographer to join our media team for Summer/Fall 2018. The videographer will be a volunteer stipend position (details below).
We are looking for a videographer with vision. Someone who will create and execute video projects that document the competitive members, volunteers, staff and organization. This candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality videos for the general projects of The Marching Elite. As a photojournalist, you will work closely with the Band and Dance Director along with the media team to create innovative solutions to illustrate content. Candidate should have a keen eye for sports-related videography with strong skills in storyboarding and editing. This intern will have an amazing opportunity to travel, hone their artistic skills in real-world experiences, and build their portfolio of published material.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creating viral videos, documentary style videos, behind the scene videos, animations, mashup videos,
promotions, and advertisements.
• Editing, shooting, creating treatments, and brainstorming creative video content
• Creating time-lapse videos and other “on trend” viral videos ideas that build brand value and the
attention of an audience
• Works directly in concert with the Band and Dance Director
• Works independently and in team environment to accomplish assigned tasks and projects
• Create and manage a production calendar
• Manage simultaneous project tasks and deadlines
• Create “on trend” and emotionally compelling content for a variety of audiences
• Produce high quality content on all assigned projects
• Turn around videos in a short period of time
• Optimize, organize, and prepare files for a variety of outlets
• Create DVD, manage YouTube channel, create video ads
• Work on several video projects for email, donor relations, and
customer engagement
• Other responsibilities as they develop, based on interest areas and
organization needs
REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree is NOT REQUIRED,
Attend weekly band and dance rehearsals and performances
Experience with editing, directing, fine arts (video emphasis) or related field
• Advanced video shooting and editing skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience shooting sporting events (indoor and outdoor) and portraits
• Must have all necessary equipment
• Must be composed and be highly skilled in dealing with ambiguity
• Motivated with a strong work ethic
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge and experience shooting marching bands or drum corps a plus
• Open to feedback, with strong desire to develop professional skills
• Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, punctual, and flexible
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and accountability
